Delete your Seshat account

This page explains how to delete your Seshat account and what happens to your data when you do. There are two ways to do it.

1. From inside the app

Open Seshat and go to Profile → Data & Safety → Delete account, then confirm. This is the fastest route and takes effect straight away.

2. By email, if you have uninstalled the app

Email ahmedgalal11045@gmail.com from the address your account uses, with the subject Delete my account. We use the sending address to identify the account, so a request from a different address will need extra confirmation before we can act on it.

We will action the request and confirm by reply, within one month at the latest.

What happens next

Your account is disabled immediately and you are signed out on every device.

After 30 days it is permanently deleted. During those 30 days you can sign back in and everything is restored, exactly as it was. After that it cannot be recovered by you or by us.

What is deleted

What is kept, and why

Technical AI-usage records, anonymised. We keep counts of how many AI requests were made, how many tokens they used and whether they succeeded — never their content — because we need them for cost accounting. When you delete your account the link to you is permanently removed, and what remains cannot be traced back to you.

Shared dictionary entries. AI-generated meanings for individual words are cached and shared between all users so the same lookup is not paid for twice, and they expire after 180 days. That cache holds only the word looked up and the AI's answer — it never contains anything you wrote yourself, so nothing personal to you is left behind in it.
